Colorblocked Purple

I love how comfortable this top is, it seriously feels like I'm wearing pajamas! Anthropologie still has it available in many colors and sizes so scoop one or two up while you can (and it's on sale!). I decided to dress it up a little with a fun statement necklace.

And what a Tag Sale today at Anthropologie! I had to restrain myself from ordering a few things but I did pick up these for $9.95 (hope my order goes through, I think that was a price glitch!) and also this necklace in turquoise. I also ordered a rug when all the rugs were marked down to $20 but I think it will for sure get cancelled. I can dream that my order will get overlooked though, right!!! Did you pick up anything at this year's Tag Sale??

Peppering of Flowers

This skirt is so fun to wear since it has such bright colors against a black and white polka dot background. Since it already has a lot of color going on I decided to tone it down with some gold accents. Here's what I wore to church on Sunday...

Liam's Nursery

I was super excited to find out that #2 was going to be a boy so I could design a little boy's nursery. And since we now own our home and I already had the basics from #1, I could really have fun with the decor! I wanted to use yellow and grey as the color scheme and when I found this fabric from Sarah Jane (love her illustrations!)...
I decided to add in pops of red to the design. I'm not really into themed nurseries but I do like to have an overall cohesive idea so you'll see that I used airplanes and travel to tie things together. Let's take a look inside, shall we! (warning, pic heavy)

This is the view you see as you enter the room. Paint color is 'Pewter' by Benjamin Moore
The "L" above the crib I made using vintage encyclopedia pages and rolled them to give it more of a 3D effect
I made the mobile using a kids bike wheel, red baker's twine and scrapbook paper folded into tiny paper airplanes (thanks pinterest!)
The map above the crib I got here
The crib bumper, skirt and quilt were made by my talented mother and sister - using that cute Sarah Jane fabric. I'm so thankful they made me another crib set (they also made Gigi's)! I used the same Jenny Lind Crib that we had for Gigi; I love the vintage design of it. :)
I got the rug here
The ABC poster is from IKEA and so is the bookshelf underneath it. I got the fabric toy bins here
The Eames Rocker (mine is a knock-off) I already had from Gigi's nursery, the red pouf I got here, and the pillow is from target
And here's a view of the other side of the room. I used the same dresser and bookcase as a changing table that were in Gigi's nursery; I got them at IKEA but they are now discontinued. We just changed out her old pink knobs for these ones in yellow.
I got these cute airplane prints from this etsy seller
We did his handprint and footprint when he was 11 days old; I also did this with Gigi and it was fun comparing them (his are much bigger!)
The shelves are from IKEA and most of the stuff on them I found at various vintage stores
The print is a free printable that I colored to match the room - you can download it here
Husband and I made the little framed heart using our thumbprints
The chevron curtains I made using this fabric and following this tutorial. They were surprisingly very easy to make (and a seamstress I am not)!

Thanks for letting me share Liam's nursery with you! :)

Time For Tea

I just love quirky little prints so when I saw this tea cup top I had to have it! (I may have also purchased the one with dachshunds all over it too!). And FYI, this top runs small so order one size up from your normal size - I'm wearing a small here.

This was another necklace that I used my birthday discount on and I'm glad I did. The little candy clusters are so unique and fun!
Stay tuned, I should have pics of Liam's nursery up on the blog tomorrow. :)

Panoramic Blooms

I recently picked up this cardi when it went on sale and I'm glad I did. It has many colors in it that will be fun to mix and match with different items in my closet. And the fact that it's short sleeved is a huge bonus! It's so hard to find short sleeved cardigans so when I do I have to snatch them up. :)

Baby Liam

Hi Readers! I'm finally back after a super long absence from my blog and I'm happy to let you know that Baby Liam arrived on April 11th! Here are some pics from the hospital...
Going from 1 kid to 2 kids has been quite an adjustment for me these past few months but I wouldn't change anything! He is such a sweet little boy and we are so blessed to have a healthy baby.

I also have other news to announce... we bought our first home!!! We actually bought it back in January but I never got a chance to announce it on the blog. So I hope to have some pics of our new house up on the blog soon.

And I'll leave you with what I wore to church this past Sunday. As soon as I saw this skirt on Anthro's website I fell in love with it. And when I saw how fast it was selling I decided to splurge and pay full price for it since it may not make it to sale.

I got this necklace for my birthday and I just love it! It's such a pretty statement necklace that will go with anything...
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! :)
