Review: Foxglove Boots

My Foxglove Boots arrived a few days ago and I couldn't be happier with them! I was lucky to score these boots at a 2nd cut price (originally $278, I got them for $79.95) especially since they were just in the new arrival section! I think Anthro made a mistake by marking these down, so I'm really glad they didn't cancel my order. What's weird is I still have them in my cart and although it says they're sold out, they are marked back up to full price. I wonder what that means?!?
I ordered a size 38 and they fit perfectly so I'd say they are true to size. They are pretty comfortable but then I haven't worn them out yet so I can't say for sure. They are a pull-on style but I didn't have any trouble taking them on or off. I do have fairly narrow feet and skinny calves.
I love the tawny color and the cute flower cutout detail. The cutouts are actual laser cut holes in the leather and there isn't any lining, but that doesn't bother me. I think the cutouts make these boots very breathable, which is great for wearing them in the spring, summer and early fall.
The leather is fairly thin, but not overly so. I found them to be very well made and I think they will last for a long time. The leather is so incredibly soft and has a distressed, vintage look. These boots are so unique, I've never seen anything like them.
I have my boot molds in the above pics to hold up the shaft but they are a slouchy boot. When I put them on they seemed to stay up pretty well. But if you wanted to wear them slouchy you could. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and can't wait to wear them out!
So what do you think? Were any of you lucky enough to get these?? I hope to have some pics of me wearing them on the blog soon. :)

ETA - Just found these boots at DSW in the cognac colorway that was released at Anthro before these. You can find them here.

OOTD: Purple Rain

Just a quick post today since I have to go and run a few errands. Loving these purple AG's I picked up on sale awhile ago. And I think they'll transition nicely into Fall. Oh, and I finally received my Foxglove Boots yesterday. Hope to have some pics up for you tomorrow.

OOTD: Australe

We've had a few cool days here so I was finally able to wear my new cardigan. I love the cute stripes and especially the little flower detail. Luckily, I was able to track this cardi down when it got a 2nd cut to $19.99 - it's a steal at that price!

OOTD: Sincerely Paris

When I saw my sister-in-law in this dress I fell in love with it but told myself I didn't need it. Well, a couple of weeks later I decided that I had to have it. Luckily, I was able to track one down in my size (and this was weeks after it went on sale)! Here's how I wore it to church on Sunday...

Review: TOMS Calypso Canvas Wedge

While in Utah a few weeks ago, I was able to go on a girls shopping trip with my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law and my niece (thanks grandpa for watching Gigi for me!). It was such a fun girls day out and we hit up the new City Creek shopping center in Salt Lake City.

I picked up a few new things, one of which are these TOMS Calypso Canvas Wedges. Now, I live in flats. I really only wear heels to church, on a date with my hubby, or other special occasions. It's funny because when I was working a full time job I lived in heels. But since becoming a mom I just don't like chasing my 2 year old around in 3+ inch pumps. Call me crazy!

So when I found these wedges that are both cute and comfortable, I was a happy girl. They were a little tight in the toe area at first but they quickly stretched out and now fit my feet perfectly. And the height of the heel isn't totally unreasonable. I can actually see myself wearing these out and about when I want to look a little more polished.

I found them to be true to size, I'm almost always a size 8 and that's the size I got in these. I chose the grey color since I thought they'd be more versatile and so far they've gone with everything I've paired them with. I also love that they can be dressed up or down. I've paired them with a few of my summer dresses and they look really cute.

So if you're on the fence about these I say go for it! I find myself reaching for them a lot more often than I thought I would. So far they've been a great purchase for me.

Sale Picks

It's Tuesday and that means sale day at Anthropologie! It was a big one today with lots of new markdowns. Here are my picks...

Ephraim V-Neck Dress
Love this dress! It reminds me of the Overwhelmed Aster Dress but with straps so I'm liking it much more. The print will be fun to pair with bright colored cardigans and shoes.

Fisherman's Knot Belt
Cute belt that will be fun to mix with summer dresses. And I love the knot detail.

Foxglove Boots
These boots have been on my radar for a long time. Aren't the cutouts so cute? So when they got a huge markdown today, how could I resist!?! Can't wait for these to arrive now.

De Moda Cardigan
I'm swooning over the print on this cardigan, just not the price! The delicate chiffon on the top is really adorable. I just wish I could justify $150 for a cardigan.

So from my picks, I also ended up getting this and this. What did you pick up?

OOTD: Ampay Away!

My Ampay Necklace finally arrived, after being on backorder for what seems like forever! Since I'm loving all the colors in this necklace I decided to create my church outfit around it. Here's how it turned out...

J.Crew Double Serge Tiffany Bow Skirt, similar here
Anthropologie Ampay Necklace

So if you're on the fence about the Ampay Necklace, I highly recommend it! And since it's now back in stock online I'd order it soon before it sells out again.

The Ones That Got Away

If you're as Anthropologie obsessed as I am, then I'm sure you have lots of items that you regret not purchasing. And if you're like me, they end up haunting you for years! Here's a list of pretties that some way or another got away from me.

Budding T-Straps, size 7 1/2 or maybe 8
I was pregnant when these came out and just not into buying clothes at the time - more into decorating the nursery! So sadly I missed out on these and they still haunt me to this day.

Synapse Belt in dark brown, size small
I didn't get this belt since at the time I bought the Looping Lanes Belt and didn't think I needed to own both. Now I regret not getting it.

Mint Drop Necklace
I saw this beauty in the store once but passed since it was full price. Now I'm wishing I would've splurged.

Darjeeling Skirt, size small
I've loved this skirt since it came out. But when it hit sale I told myself that I didn't need another black and white lace skirt since I already own the Openwork Vines skirt. Well, now I'm wishing it was mine.

Tria Sweater Skirt, size xs or small (never tried this on so not sure)
When this skirt hit sale I didn't think I needed it since I lived in LA at the time. Now that I live in cooler temps, I'm wishing I owned it.

Remaining Lilies Cardigan, size xs
I just love Wendy Reed's cardis so I'm not sure why I didn't get this one when it went on sale. Looking through my closet I realize that I don't have any green cardigans (except a solid colored one). So I'd love to own this fun and distinct one!

J.Crew Pleated Lombard Cardigan in pink guava, size xs
It's not Anthro, I know. But I so regret not getting this cardi. This one also came out when I was pregnant so it flew under my radar.

If you have any of these in good condition and want to part with them please please email me and I'd love to buy them. Then maybe the ghosts of Anthro past will finally leave me alone!

OOTD: Kuychi Necklace

I love a good statement necklace. I tried on this necklace over the weekend and fell in love with it but didn't get it. Then I thought about it all weekend but I was sure that it would be gone since they only had 1 left. And then when Molly blogged about it (here) and it pushed me over the edge. I called my local Anthro and luck be my lady they still had it! It's a pretty substantial necklace but not too heavy and I think it looks far more expensive than it actually is.

Love the colors of the beads, they remind me of a sunset. And I also love that there's a little bling going on too!
It sure dresses up my plain little tee and will be fun to mix with a lot of my dressier pieces too.  :)

OOTD: Fluttered Hem

I blame my sister in law for me getting this tee (in two colorways no less!). While I was on vacation in Utah, her Anthropologie order arrived and one of the items was this cute top. Fast forward to me calling and placing an order for two colors for me, another color for her, two colors for my sister, and one for my mother in law too!

This tee is so comfy and easy to wear and will be one of my go-to tops this summer. I also picked it up in pink and can't wait to wear it with the Ampay Necklace
It's still available and on sale (here) in most colors and sizes so if you need a cute basic, I highly recommend it!

OOTD: Layers of Lace

Well, hello there! Sorry for my disappearance from blogging. I decided to take a little trip to visit my family in Utah. Gigi and I had a blast, it's always fun to see everyone and Gigi loved playing with all of her cousins!

On Sunday I wore an oldie skirt from Anthropologie that I recently acquired off eBay for a steal. I just love the layers and layers of lace and chiffon.

I got a few cute necklaces for my birthday and I can't wait to wear them out. I'm still waiting for this one to arrive and this one I blame Molly for!
