Mad Style

My husband and I are both addicted to Mad Men, we watched the entire first season in just a few days. Everything about it is fun. The fashion, the plot, and of course the set design. I am in love with Don Draper the set design. If you want to include a little Mad Men style into your home, you can do so with the following.

This sofa is an updated version of the one in Don's office at Sterling Cooper.

And how about this tufted headboard, it's a dead ringer for the one in the Draper's bedroom. I now want to replace my bed for one that looks like this (I've also had my eye on this one for awhile now).

This credenza, although smaller, looks almost identical to the one in the Draper's home.

Now all I can do is wait on tenterhooks for the season 4 premier in July (we are less than two months away people!).

Shoes Glorious Shoes!

The thing about shoes, is that you can never have too many. I am especially attracted to shoes that add a fun pop of color to my outfits. Here's a pic of all of my shoes that fall under this category.

Anthro Sale

Of course my sister and I had to go to the big Anthropologie sale yesterday (we got there when it opened!) I was happy to have my birthday discount as well to get an extra 15% off. Here's what I picked up...

I have been waiting forever for this to go on sale and I just love the ruffles and the feminine print.

I love the silver shimmer in this dress and I know I'll be able to wear it with AOTC (all of the cardigans)!

This skirt is so darling with the piping and buttons and it is so flattering on. I think it's just perfect for summer.

Here's a close-up of the shirt so you can see the cute airplanes on it. This shirt is made by Porridge and I love their use of vintage prints (they also make this dress that I love).

Little Blue Decor

I just love the color of Tiffany blue, especially when it's in the shape of a box! It is such a soothing color, yet also bright and energizing. I used little accents of it in my daughter's nursery and plan to use it in other rooms in my apartment.

Paired with pink it gives a more shabby chic look. I just love the leopard print cushions on the chairs. You could have your own "Breakfast at Tiffany's" in this kitchen!

Paired with black and white it looks more modern. I love the chevron striped rug and zebra pillows.

And when it's paired with white it gives the room a more fresh look. Striped walls are a great way to add design to any room and I know from experience that they're not easy to paint, but they are well worth the effort.

OOTD: Ruffles, Ruffles, Ruffles!

Adam and I went out for lunch this past weekend and we decided to go to Toast. I've always wanted to go here and have heard that it's a great place to spot celebrities but sadly we didn't see anyone famous. :( I got the berry french toast and Adam got the coffee cake french toast.




Just looking at these pictures is making my mouth water! Lately it's been a bit cooler in LA (and by cool I mean below 70!) So I decided to break out my Plaza Cardigan and boots one more time.

East Meets West Elm

I'm loving West Elm's collaboration with PATCH NYC. The drawings are so simple and natural I think they would complement almost any space. If you want anything from this collection you better act fast, most of it is already backordered and will most likely be selling out. Happy shopping!

OOTD: Lacey Days

I recently scored this lovely lace skirt and ruffled shirt on sale at Anthropologie ( I got the shirt on a second markdown for only $10!). I love anything with a black and white color palette since you can pair almost any color with it. I wore this to church today and felt pretty and feminine and I just love the little black bow at the waist!
