OOTD: Thanksgiving

Since my husband and I just moved to Portland, we decided to go out for our Thanksgiving dinner (after moving, the last thing I wanted to do was cook a big meal!). It was really nice being able to relax and enjoy the day and a big bonus for me was no dishes! Here's what I wore out to dinner...

OOTD: Drifting By

Some things you should never allow yourself to even try on at Anthropologie because the second you get them on you fall in love with them. Case in point is the Drifting By Dress. Yes, I had seen this dress on other bloggers numerous times but never thought of owning it myself. But as soon as it hit the sale rack and I found it in my size it was all downhill from there. Here is how I wore it to church yesterday...

Eight Is Enough

Hi readers! Just wanted to pop in and let you know we made it to Portland safe and sound! We are in our temporary housing and still need to find a place to live so no ootd's for you just yet. Plus, I'm still getting settled in and trying to get used to this so cold weather. One thing that is making me feel at home is Anthropologie, and it's literally across the street from where we are staying. Oh no, I smell trouble!

Which is why I really need to stay on the wagon and stick to my shopping break. If you remember from this post, I am going on a shopping break until Christmas. So here are my eight items that I'm allowed to get if they go on sale...

1. Anthropologie Oolite Necklace - I'm swooning over the pearls, the gold rose and blush colored beads.
2. Anthropologie Sweeping Stitch Heels - LOVE the color of these and of course the darling bows!
3. Anthropologie Eze Sur Mer Top - Cute little striped tee (I reserve the right to swap this top out since I haven't actually tried it on yet).
4. Anthropologie Frill Force Jacket - I require this jacket, period.
5. Anthropologie Pebbled & Primped Boots - Another cute flat boot and gotta love the ruffle detail!
6. Anthropologie Linked Hasu Tote - This color is perfect year round and the beaded detail makes it special.
7. Anthropologie Volante Tee - I love the color and the detail on the shoulder.
8. Anthropologie White Noise Skirt - This would go with just about everything in my closet.

OOTD: All My Bags Are Packed

Packing day is finally here. This is the first move that we have the moving co. pack everything for us and I must admit it is so nice! Husband and I have been able to enjoy our last few weekends here in LA and visit some places that for some reason or another we never got around to (like the huge flea market at the Rose Bowl). We've also been filling up our weekends eating at our favorite restaurants that are unique to LA. Have I told you how nice it is not to have our weekends consumed with packing?! ;) I know my outfit is simple today, but I wanted to wear something comfortable and this top fits the bill.

OOTD: She's Got Field Game

Happy sale day at Anthropologie! I decided to join Jenni and take a much needed shopping break until Christmas. I have 8 items on my list that I'm allowed to get if they go on sale (fine print: I'm not allowed to get all of them if they all go on sale). And since none of them got marked down, I was a good girl and didn't get anything. ;)

I have a few errands to run today and I need to get some last minute things done before our big move. Here's what I'm wearing...

Anthropologie Field Game Cardigan, very similar here (on sale)
Target Xhilaration Lace Tank
J Brand Denim Leggings
Jessica Simpson Angie Boot
Necklaces and Earrings from Etsy

And while I did hold strong on my shopping ban, these pumps were calling my name... but I stayed on the wagon! ;)

OOTD: More Polka Dots Please (& Some Big News)

I decided to pair my In A Twinkling Dress, which has faint polka dots all over it, with more polka dots! And since I love lavender and grey together the shoes and belt were an easy choice. Here's what I wore to church yesterday...

And my big exciting news is (drum roll please...)

I am moving to Portland, OR! Husband got a new job there and I'm super excited to once again live in the Pacific Northwest (we used to live in Seattle and loved it). So this Thursday we'll be heading due north and saying goodbye to LA. I am so excited! So my posting and commenting will be a little sporadic until we find a place and get settled in (which may take awhile). I've only been to Portland a few times so if any of you live there or have visited and have any tips or info I'd love to hear from you! One thing I know.... they have an Anthropologie (which makes me a happy girl! ;)

Review: Poetic License Encoure Ankle Boot

I was so excited to get the Encoure Boots in the mail and they finally came. The leather is pretty nice and the snakeskin bow is just darling. But as soon as I got them on my feet and took a step, I felt pain! The stiff leather would dig into my skin and the bottom of my ankle bone. I only had them on for a few minutes but after I took them off the skin just under my ankle bone was all red! If I had to wear these for a few hours I think they would have broken skin and given me a big sore. Sadly, these cute booties will have to go back. For those interested, they run true to size.

ETA: The tights I have on are the Opaque Floral Tights from Forever 21

OOTD: The Plaza (Cardigan)

The Plaza Cardigan may be one of my all time favorite sweaters from Anthropologie. It is so cozy and so comfy to wear. Today it's a little chilly outside so I paired it with leggings and my favorite boots. Well, I'm off to take Gigi to her monthly doctor's appointment and maybe I'll make a stop at Anthropologie, since it's on the way of course.

Kelly Wearstler's Home For Sale

If you love LA designer Kelly Wearstler and have a cool $46 million dollars lying around, then this Beverly Hills home can now be yours! She and her hotelier husband Brad Korzen bought the home just five years ago for $25 million; so yes, they stand to make a hefty loot if you ask me. A love of busts and other sculptural pieces is a must if you want to make this home yours. Take a look...

OOTD: Ruffles & Flowers

Last week at Anthropologie I spotted this tank in the sale section for $9.95 and since you know I adore ruffles it had to come home with me! I felt a little like Peggy finding such a great score (seriously, that girl has a nose for mad deals!!). I decided to pair it with my Quiet Moments Cardigan that has become a Fall staple for me.

And Anthropologie surprised us with another sale this week so I had to be good and just get these. They are super flattering on and I highly recommend them. Did you pick anything up from this week's sale?

OOTD: Love At First Sight

I remember the very first time I walked into Anthropologie. You could say it was love at first sight (no need to walk by again). Who knew that it would ignite such an obsession for me! I also remember the very first item I bought and I still love it to this day. When I first saw this skirt I loved the plaid fabric and asymmetrical hem.

And how could I resist the adorable little flower...
And the ruffle peeking out at the hem...
And of course it goes brilliantly with my new shoes!

Booties With A Bow

{Poetic License Encoure Bootie}

I must confess that I just ordered these booties yesterday. I found them here for a great deal (and then had Nordstrom price match them) and I just couldn't resist since I've had my eye on them for months now! I know I posted earlier about the other colorway but in the end I thought black booties would be more versatile for me. I'll do a review for you when they arrive, which is hopefully very soon because I can't wait!

Dining Table Roundup

I've long since needed a new dining table since the one I currently own is a cheapo one from Walmart. It is all scratched up since it has survived six moves in six years. I plan to get rid of it soon and these three tables are at the top of my list.

Darjeeling Dining Table at CB2
Flatiron Dining Table at Restoration Hardware
Axel Dining Table at Z Gallerie

I hope someday that my dining room will be half as beautiful as this one (that is when I actually have a dining room)! I love the rustic table, modern chairs, elegant wallpaper and silver accents.  It is Perfection!
