OOTD: Cotton Candy Pink

Happy Thursday everyone! I got this skirt in 2004 and I still love it, which is partly due to the fact that I wore it to my bridal shower. It's funny how little moments in life play a role in clothing pieces that are near and dear to my heart. I don't think I'll ever be able to get rid of certain items because of it. Do any of you have items like this?

What I'm wearing...
J.Crew Featherweight Cotton Bling Button Cardi
J.Crew Tissue Tuxedo tank, similar here
Nordstrom skirt, similar here
J.Crew skinny silver belt, similar here
Anthropologie Stacked Petunia Drop Earrings
Corso Como Fabeo sandals, similar here for $10 and here

Such soothing colors! Yes, I have a few items I felt 'pretty' in and I keep them around even though they aren't something (style) I would even wear now! =) At least your skirt still works for you!!

Lovely outfit! And I definitely hold on to way too many clothing items because of the sentimental value. I need to cure myself of that because my closet is getting way too full!!!

I'm glad you kept the skirt because it is fantastic! Everyone may be thinking about fall but it is still hot hot summer and you look like a refreshing drink of water in that outfit!

(I just read that back - I'm soooooo cheesy!)

I know exactly what you mean. I still have a few pieces from back in my high school or early university days that hold a special place in my heart.

I love your skirt by the way!

Thanks for stopping by!

What a pretty outfit!

I definitely do that with clothes that I associate with a special memory. In fact I have a few things like that packed away in a box because they don't fit anymore but I can't bear to get rid of them.

Great outfit!
I had about a dozen sorority t-shirts from college. they were so battered and worn and I didn't wear them anymore but it killed me to get rid of them. They just kept moving around with me. Finally, about a year and half ago, I started using them for rags and tossing them out!!!

Oh Jessica, you always make me want to go shopping! :)

I wish I had worn something that cute to my bridal shower! (the big exception is the tiara my mom and sisters had me wear. too cute and so fun for the occasion!)

I love this. It's so sweet and feminine. That skirt is just beautiful!

I don't particularly like what I wore to my bridal shower...so I don't own any of that outfit anymore! :)

Thanks for stopping by today:) The Clinique sales rep said that the regular lotion was pretty thick, which is why I got the gel....maybe you had the regular?

That skirt is stunning! And you look so wonderful in light pink.

I too have a favorite skirt -- I wore it for my college graduation, which was such a special time because my entire extended family flew from California to Philadelphia to celebrate with me. It meant so much to me, and I always think back on the day when I see the skirt.

So pretty! I love your skirt! And yes, I am sentimental about clothing too ;)

Love the soft petal pink! Yes, I'm way too sentimental with clothing. I have saved the outfit I wore on my and my husband's 1st date 10 year ago! I wore a multicolor skinny paisley ankle length capri pant with a tank top. Aww...

Just discovered your blog and love this ensemble~very pretty! Also had to take the opp. to show love for my black drawstring wideleg sweatpants ala 1995, I know it's not really proper "clothing" but I will never part with them:)
